I had listened to a few tracks, liked what I heard, and then put it in my wishlist where it was soon buried. That is, until I saw them live and they blew my socks off. Really awesome live set. I was very impressed. Now I got this album in a regular rotation. Hell yeah, Aeviterne.

After the slap that was LEDE in 2016, I was eagerly awaiting the release of their 4th album, and 5 years after the last one, the immense SLONK lands to make it into my Top5 of 2021. Incredibly dense and compact, the 37 minutes album flies by in no time. Always as unhealthy, sludgy and crusty doomy black metal, they show that they perfectly master their style and that they can always go further!
